Who we are
MIE Knights Basketball is a basketball-focused program for athletes from 6U through 16U. Our approach centers on player development, competitive basketball, and the habits that help young athletes grow.
THIS IS MIE
A PROGRAM WITH PURPOSE.
Basketball is the game. Development is the mission.
Our standard starts with the work we put in together.
Our mission
The mission of MIE Knights Basketball is to mentor, influence, and educate young people through basketball. We strive to create an environment that builds confidence, develops character, and helps every athlete reach their fullest potential on and off the court. Through purposeful coaching, player development, and competition, we teach sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, healthy habits, and responsible citizenship. Our goal is to prepare boys and girls to become confident athletes, positive leaders, and community-minded individuals. We are committed to bringing families together across Jacksonville and surrounding communities and working to reduce social, economic, and racial barriers so more young people can experience the opportunities basketball provides.
Player development
Ball handling, shooting, footwork, finishing, and defense form the foundation. Reading the floor, making decisions, and understanding team concepts bring those skills into the game.
Our culture
Effort is a choice. Accountability is a habit. We encourage athletes to show up ready to learn, support their teammates, and approach every possession with purpose.
Competition
Competitive basketball gives players an opportunity to apply their training, respond to challenges, and learn together. Confirmed games and tournament details will appear on our schedule.
What players can expect
A focus on fundamentals, constructive feedback, team concepts, and preparation for increasingly competitive levels of basketball. Come ready to work, listen, and grow.
